Job summary

North Star Diagnostic Imaging in Denton, Texas, is seeking a caring X-Ray Technologist for a part-time outpatient role. You will perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray exams and contribute to exceptional patient care in a busy imaging center.

Opportunities exist to cross-train into CT or MRI for motivated individuals seeking to expand their imaging skills. No weekends or on-call; 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on scheduled days.

Qualifications

• Texas MRT General certification is required.
• ARRT (R) certification is required.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations according to protocols.
• Verify patient identity, review orders, and obtain patient history.
• Position patients to optimize image quality while ensuring safety.
• Educate patients about exams and answer questions to enhance care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in RIS/PACS/EMR systems.
• Perform daily quality control and ensure equipment safety and efficiency.
• Adhere to radiation safety, infection control, HIPAA, OSHA, and procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists and team members to deliver outstanding care.
• Participate in continuing education to maintain competency.
• Cross-train into CT or MRI when opportunities arise.
• Support departmental workflow as needed.
