Job summary

North Star Diagnostic Imaging in Denton, Texas is seeking an X-Ray Technologist for a part-time daytime role in a busy outpatient imaging center. You will perform high-quality X-ray examinations and ensure an excellent patient experience in a collaborative team setting.

This position offers cross-training into CT or MRI for motivated individuals and emphasizes patient care, safety, and accuracy with RIS/PACS documentation.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Medical Board (MRT) General certification (Limited and Non-Certified not applicable).
• ARRT (R) certification.
• Current CPR certification (preferred).
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations according to established protocols.
• Verify patient identity, review physician orders, and obtain appropriate patient history.
• Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort, safety, and image quality.
• Educate patients about their exam and answer questions to provide an exceptional patient experience.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in the RIS/PACS and EMR systems.
• Perform daily quality control procedures and ensure imaging equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to radiation safety standards, infection control policies, HIPAA, OSHA, and company procedures.
• Work collaboratively with radiologists, referring providers, and fellow team members to provide outstanding patient care.
• Participate in continuing education and maintain professional competency.
• Cross-train into CT or MRI as opportunities become available.
• Assist with departmental workflow and other duties as assigned.
