Job summary

North Star Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a compassionate X-Ray Technologist to join our Denton, TX team. This full-time position involves performing high-quality diagnostic X-ray exams while delivering exceptional patient care. Cross-training into CT or MRI is offered for motivated candidates.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with no weekends or on-call. MRT and ARRT certification are required; CPR preferred. Excellent teamwork and patient communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Active Texas MRT general radiologic certification.
• ARRT (R) certification required.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray exams per established protocols and ensure image quality.
• Verify patient identity, review orders, and obtain patient history.
• Prepare and position patients for comfort and safety during imaging.
• Educate patients about their exam and answer questions.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in RIS/PACS and EMR.
• Perform daily quality control procedures and ensure imaging equipment operates safely.
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and HIPAA/OSHA policies.
• Collaborate with radiologists and staff to provide outstanding patient care.
• Participate in continuing education to maintain competency.
• Cross-train into CT or MRI when opportunities arise.
• Assist with departmental workflow and other duties as assigned.
