Job summary

North Star Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a compassionate X-Ray Technologist to join our Denton outpatient imaging center. You will perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations while delivering excellent patient care, with opportunities to cross-train into CT or MRI.

Part-time schedule with weekday days, no weekends. The ideal candidate holds MRT General certification (Texas) and ARRT (R) certification, plus strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current Texas MRT General certification (required).
• ARRT (R) certification (required).
• Current CPR certification (preferred).
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations according to established protocols.
• Verify patient identity, review physician orders, and obtain appropriate patient history.
• Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort, safety, and image quality.
• Educate patients about their exam and answer questions to provide an exceptional patient experience.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in the RIS/PACS and EMR systems.
• Perform daily quality control procedures and ensure imaging equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to radiation safety standards, infection control policies, HIPAA, OSHA, and company procedures.
• Work collaboratively with radiologists, referring providers, and fellow team members to provide outstanding patient care.
• Participate in continuing education and maintain professional competency.
• Cross-train into CT or MRI as opportunities become available.
• Assist with departmental workflow and other duties as assigned.
