Job summary

Capitol Imaging Services (Outpatient Imaging) is seeking a part-time X-ray Technologist in Fayetteville, GA. The role focuses on producing diagnostic X-ray images, patient positioning, and adherence to radiation safety standards.

The successful candidate will have ARRT certification, appropriate state licensure, and a minimum of 1 year in diagnostic radiology; familiarity with PACS/RIS is beneficial and we value strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
• ARRT certification is required.
• State licensure if applicable.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in diagnostic radiology preferred (new grads may be considered).
• Knowledge of PACS and RIS systems is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important.

Responsibilities

• Operate X-ray equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Prepare and position patients accurately for imaging procedures.
• Ensure proper use of radiation protection measures for patients and staff.
• Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Evaluate images for clarity and diagnostic quality before submitting them to radiologists.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols.
• Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and protect patient confidentiality.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulatory standards.
