Job summary

Capitol Imaging Services (Outpatient Imaging) in Atlanta, GA is seeking an X-Ray Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging exams and ensure patient safety and comfort. The schedule is typically Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, with flexibility.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
• ARRT certification required.
• State licensure (if applicable).
• BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in diagnostic radiology preferred.
• Knowledge of PACS and RIS systems is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate X-ray equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Prepare and position patients accurately for imaging procedures.
• Ensure proper use of radiation protection measures for patients and staff.
• Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Evaluate images for clarity and diagnostic quality before submitting them to radiologists.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols.
• Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and protect patient confidentiality.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulatory standards.
