Job Summary:
At Capitol Imaging Services (Outpatient Imaging), we are looking for a part time X-Ray Technologist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate X-ray equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Prepare and position patients accurately for imaging procedures.
- Ensure proper use of radiation protection measures for patients and staff.
- Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Evaluate images for clarity and diagnostic quality before submitting them to radiologists.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols.
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and protect patient confidentiality.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
- State licensure (if applicable).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in diagnostic radiology preferred (new grads may be considered).
- Knowledge of PACS and RIS systems is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important.

Requirements
- Knowledge of safety requirements to provide instructions and to recognize and correct hazardous conditions.
- Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
- Maintains communication and cooperation with radiologists and other ancillary departments regarding changes in protocol, scheduling of procedures, exams performed and patient flow.
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients, colleagues and referring offices.
- Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
Preferred Experience:
- Prefer a minimum of 1 year experience.
- Multi-modality is a plus. Opportunity to learn Mammography.
Required Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Current ARRT/ Radiologic Technologist License
