Job summary

Correctional Healthcare Partners (CHP Health) seeks an X-Ray Technologist to perform diagnostic radiologic procedures at the Otay Mesa facility. You will assist in patient care under supervision and ensure compliance with licensing requirements.

The role requires a current California CRT and CPR certification, with 1 year of clinical experience preferred. Schedule: Mon/Wed/Tue 7:00 AM–12:00 PM; PRN position with competitive pay.

Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Health Services Administrator (HSA) and/or Radiology Supervisor, the X-Ray Technologist performs full scope diagnostic radiologic procedures within the scope of their license and certification, supporting patient care at CHP's Otay Mesa (George Bailey Detention Facility) location.

Position Requirements

Must hold and maintain a current, unrestricted Radiologic Technologist certification/license (CRT) in the state of California, as well as any required CPR certification. Minimum of 1 year clinical experience preferred; correctional healthcare experience preferred but not required.

Physical Demands

Must have the physical and mental capacity to work in an environment that may be less than pristine, and manage and maintain physical and mental health when encountering stressful situations. Must be able to exert up to 50 lbs. of force, push, pull, and move objects, including positioning patients for imaging.

Location: Otay Mesa (George Bailey Detention Facility) — 446 Alta Rd, San Diego, CA 92158

Schedule: Mon/Tue/Wed, 7:00 AM–12:00 PM (weekday days; hours flexible)

Classification: Full Scope — Radiologic Technologist

Status: PRN

Compensation: $38–$50/hour, PRN. No shift differential applicable (weekday daytime hours).
