Radiologic Technologist – Correctional Training Facility (CTF), Soledad, CA

Overview

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) and Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) seek a Radiologic Technologist to operate imaging equipment, prepare patients, and maintain records in the Correctional Training Facility.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and prepare incarcerated patients for radiologic examinations and obtain x‑ray images for various body structures.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot radiology equipment and associated facilities.
• Keep accurate records and files related to imaging procedures.
• Supervise incarcerated workers and oversee patient conduct during radiologic procedures.
• Follow departmental policies and procedures, including those related to safety, infection control, and quality assurance.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current valid certificate as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (DRT) issued by the California State Department of Health Services.

  1. At least two years of experience, including training in radiologic techniques and methods under an accredited medical radiologist; or
  2. Completion of a two‑year accredited training program in radiologic technology approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals (CMEH) of the American Medical Association in collaboration with the American College of Radiology.
• Must possess the required certification before appointment.
