Qualifications

• Current valid certification as a Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiologic technology issued by the California State Department of Health Services.
• At least one year performing radiologic technologist duties in a California correctional facility or three years training under an accredited radiologist, or equivalent training.
• Ability to supervise Radiologic Technologists and incarcerated staff within a correctional health setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, training, and supervision to Radiologic Technologists, lower-level staff, and incarcerated workers.

This position is located at Correctional Training Facility (CTF) in Soledad, CA, Monterey County.

Overview

Under the clinical direction of the Chief Medical Executive and the administrative supervision of the Chief Support Executive or Correctional Health Services Administrator I/II, the Senior Radiologic Technologist performs advanced technical radiological work and leads the Radiologic Technologist teams, supervising incarcerated and staff personnel while maintaining safety and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Execute diagnostic radiographic services in a correctional setting, ensuring quality and safety.
• Provide guidance, training, and supervision to Radiologic Technologists, lower‑level staff, and incarcerated workers.
• Maintain order and enforce safety protocols during radiological procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current valid certification as a Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiologic technology issued by the California State Department of Health Services.
• One of the following experience requirements:
  • One year performing radiologic technologist duties in a California correctional facility.
  • Three years of experience with training under an accredited medical radiologist, or equivalent training through a graduate nursing program.
  • One year experience as a radiologic technologist plus completion of a two‑year approved radiologic technology training program.
