Overview:

At Fast Pace Urgent Care, X-Ray Techs provide essential clinical and administrative support for effective patient care under supervision. They deliver outstanding patient service, maintain a compassionate atmosphere, and respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment, including imaging. The Tech will also ensure excellent communication with team members and provide effective customer service for all customers.

Responsibilities:

• Fulfill all responsibilities of Nurse/Clinical Tech and Patient Care Specialist roles as described in their respective job descriptions.
• Support clinical and administrative tasks, adhering to all policies and procedures.
• Monitor and manage X-ray orders efficiently.
• Assist patients with proper positioning to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Ensure activities comply with regulations like HIPAA and department standards.
• Review and send exam images for provider review and radiology over-read.
• Label images correctly, ensure artifact-free images, and use proper techniques.
• Address minor equipment issues and report problems promptly.
• Maintain equipment and room cleanliness to prevent cross-contamination.
• Manage pregnancy waiver forms and triage patients by recording vitals and clinical history.
• Perform blood draws, injections, and medication administration as applicable.
• Monitor radiation badges and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Complete mandatory compliance training and support new employee onboarding and training.
• Maintain positive relations with staff and patients, and perform physical and cognitive functions as required.

Experience & Licensing:

Must hold current ARRT and State licenses, with TB and IV certification within 60 days if applicable. Experience levels vary from 1 to over 7 years, with specific duties and responsibilities increasing with experience. Additional requirements for limited scope X-ray licenses are specified.
