Job summary

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance (TOA) is a leading orthopaedic surgery group in Tennessee with 20+ locations. We seek a radiologic technologist to perform radiographic procedures, ensure patient safety, and cooperate with physicians to deliver high-quality imaging.

A Tennessee X-ray Operators License is required. Candidates should have ARRT certification and may have prior orthopedic imaging experience; C-Arm familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Certificate or Associate/Bachelor's degree in radiologic technology required.
• State of Tennessee Medical Board X-ray Operators License required.

Responsibilities

• Perform satisfactory radiographic procedures as requested by physicians.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and produce quality radiographs.
• Must be able to lift patients, and transport patients via wheelchair and stretcher.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanation of exams; answering patient questions.
• Prepares patient for radiographic procedure by proper patient dressing/undressing, proper positioning, moving equipment into specified position, and adjusting controls to set exposure factors.
• Minimizes radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposures.

• Must be able and willing to float to other TOA locations when needed to.
