Job summary

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance is the largest orthopaedic surgery group in Tennessee, with over 20 locations. This role performs radiographic procedures, ensures patient safety, and supports clinicians across TOA's network.

The ideal candidate holds a Tennessee X-ray license, ARRT certification, and is prepared to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment within TOA’s multi-location system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Certificate or associate/bachelor's degree in radiologic technology required.
• State TN Medical Board X-ray Operators License required.
• ARRT certification preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Perform satisfactory radiographic procedures as requested by physicians
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and produce quality radio graphs
• Must be able to lift patients, and transport patients via wheelchair and stretcher
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanation of exams; answering patient questions
• Prepares patient for radiographic procedure by proper patient dressing/ undressing, proper positioning, moving equipment into specified position, and adjusting controls to set exposure factors
• Minimizes radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposures

Requirements

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma required
• Certificate or Associate/Bachelor's degree in radio logic technology required
• State of Tennessee Medical Board X-ray Operators License required

Qualifications And Experience

• ARRT certified
• Prior orthopedic x-ray experience, preferred
• C-Arm experience is a plus

Travel Requirements

• Must be able and willing to float to other TOA locations when needed to.
