Job summary

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance (TOA) is the largest orthopaedic surgery group in Tennessee, with 20+ locations. We seek a Radiologic Technologist to perform high-quality radiographic procedures while prioritizing patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT certification, a Tennessee X-ray Operator license, and a radiologic technology degree or certificate. Experience with orthopedic imaging or C-Arm is a plus, with potential travel to other TOA sites.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• State licensure as X-ray Operator in Tennessee.
• Degree or certificate in radiologic technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform satisfactory radiographic procedures as requested by physicians.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and produce quality radiographs.
• Lift and transport patients safely; minimize radiation exposure through proper techniques.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment and assist patients as needed.
• Explain exams to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation.

Responsibilities

• Perform satisfactory radiographic procedures as requested by physicians
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and produce quality radiographs
• Must be able to lift patients, and transport patients via wheelchair and stretcher
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanation of exams; answering patient questions
• Prepares patient for radiographic procedure by proper patient dressing/ undressing, proper positioning, moving equipment into specified position, and adjusting controls to set exposure factors
• Minimizes radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposures

Requirements

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma required
• Certificate or Associate/Bachelor's degree in radiologic technology required
• State of Tennessee Medical Board X-ray Operators License required

Qualifications And Experience

• ARRT certified
• Prior orthopedic x-ray experience, preferred
• C-Arm experience is a plus

Travel Requirements

• Must be able and willing to float to other TOA locations when needed to.
