Job summary

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance is seeking an on-site Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic exams across orthopedic settings. The role involves patient preparation, positioning, and ensuring image quality while maintaining radiation safety and patient comfort.

Responsibilities

• Perform satisfactory radiographic procedures as requested by physicians
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and produce quality radiographs
• Must be able to lift patients, and transport patients via wheelchair and stretcher
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanation of exams; answering patient questions
• Prepares patient for radiographic procedure by proper patient dressing/ undressing, proper positioning, moving equipment into specified position, and adjusting controls to set exposure factors
• Minimizes radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposures

Requirements

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma required
• Certificate or Associate/Bachelor's degree in radiologic technology required
• State of Tennessee Medical Board X-ray Operators License required

Qualifications And Experience

• ARRT certified
• Prior orthopedic x-ray experience, preferred
• C-Arm experience is a plus

Travel Requirements

• This is a Float position for Springfield, Pleasant View, and Clarksville.
• Must be able and willing to float to other TOA locations when needed to.
