Job summary

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance is the state's largest orthopaedic surgery group, with over 20 locations. We seek a Radiologic Technologist to perform high-quality radiographic procedures, maintain safety, and support patient care in a fast-paced orthopedic setting.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, shielding, and efficient operation of imaging equipment. ARRT certification and Tennessee license are required, with orthopedic x-ray experience preferred and willingness to float to other

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Certificate or Associate/Bachelor's degree in radiologic technology required.
• State of Tennessee Medical Board X-ray Operators License required.
• ARRT certified.
• Prior orthopedic x-ray experience preferred.
• C-Arm experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform satisfactory radiographic procedures as requested by physicians.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and produce quality radiographs.
• Must be able to lift patients, and transport patients via wheelchair and stretcher.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanation of exams; answering patient questions.
• Prepares patient for radiographic procedure by proper patient dressing/ undressing, proper positioning, moving equipment into specified position, and adjusting controls to set exposure factors.
• Minimizes radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposures.

Requirements

Educational Requirements

• State of Tennessee Medical Board X-ray Operators License required

Qualifications And Experience

• ARRT certified
• Prior orthopedic x-ray experience, preferred
• C-Arm experience is a plus

Travel Requirements

• Must be able and willing to float to other TOA locations when needed to.
