Job summary

The Urgent Care in New Orleans is seeking an ARRT-certified X-Ray Technologist to join our clinical team in the Greater New Orleans area. You will perform diagnostic imaging for a true mix of urgent care cases while working with providers on triage, vitals, labs, injections, and procedures.

This on-site role offers flexible full- or part-time schedules, a fast-paced environment, and direct patient contact. You’ll rotate between Gretna, Mid-City, and Uptown clinics, upholding safety and quality

Qualifications

ARRT certification required.
Unrestricted Louisiana license to perform x-rays.
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Working knowledge of radiation safety principles and practices.
Experience with EMR systems.
Ability to lift and move patients.
BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiologic imaging per provider orders, with a focus on quality images on the first exposure.
Verify patient identity and orders, explain procedures, and apply proper shielding and radiation safety protocols.
Document all imaging activity in the EMR.
Room and triage patients, take vitals, and assist providers with labs, injections, vaccinations, and procedures.
Help maintain a clean, stocked, and ready clinical environment.
Rotate between our Gretna, Mid-City, and Uptown clinics as needed.
