Job summary

The Urgent Care in New Orleans is seeking an ARRT-certified X-Ray Technologist to join our clinical team in the Greater New Orleans area. You will perform diagnostic imaging for a true mix of urgent care cases while working with providers on triage, vitals, labs, injections, and procedures.

This on-site role offers flexible full- or part-time schedules, a fast-paced environment, and direct patient contact. You’ll rotate between Gretna, Mid-City, and Uptown clinics, upholding safety and quality

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• Unrestricted Louisiana license to perform x-rays.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Working knowledge of radiation safety principles and practices.
• Experience with EMR systems.
• Ability to lift and move patients.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiologic imaging per provider orders, with a focus on quality images on the first exposure.
• Verify patient identity and orders, explain procedures, and apply proper shielding and radiation safety protocols.
• Document all imaging activity in the EMR.
• Room and triage patients, take vitals, and assist providers with labs, injections, vaccinations, and procedures.
• Help maintain a clean, stocked, and ready clinical environment.
• Rotate between our Gretna, Mid-City, and Uptown clinics as needed.

Role Description

We're hiring an X-Ray Technologist to join our clinical team in the Greater New Orleans area. If you're an ARRT-certified tech who wants more variety than a hospital imaging department offers, a schedule you have a say in, and a team where your work is visible every single day, this is a role worth a closer look.

This is a hands-on position at the center of patient care, not a back-hallway imaging job. You'll perform diagnostic imaging for a true mix of urgent care cases (sports injuries, fractures, chest films, and more) while also working alongside our providers on triage, vitals, labs, injections, and procedures. Our clinics are small and fast-paced, which means you'll work directly with providers, know every patient you help, and never spend a shift doing the same exam on repeat.

Day to day, you will:

• Perform diagnostic radiologic imaging per provider orders, with a focus on quality images on the first exposure

Preferred

• 5+ years of radiology experience
• Prior experience in urgent care, emergency, outpatient, or clinic settings
• Medical assistant skills: blood draws, injections, EKGs, CLIA-waived testing, splinting
