Akumin Zephyrhills is hiring a full-time X-Ray Technologist to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging with strict radiation safety and thorough documentation. The role emphasizes patient safety, clear communication with radiologists, and potential training of junior staff in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred.
• ARRT (R) and state license, if applicable.
• CPR certification required.
• As applicable, valid state driver’s license.
• Radiology School completion.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
• Local travel may be required.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Produces high quality diagnostic x-ray images with attention to radiation safety and proper documentation.
• Responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications and aseptic technique.
• Communicates effectively with customers and radiologists.
• May train new Radiologic Technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoots the X-ray unit and peripheral equipment (including PACS and computers).
