Job summary

Envision Imaging is seeking a Full-Time X-ray technologist to join our team in Texas. You will perform various diagnostic X-ray procedures, adjust X-Ray equipment settings, determine proper voltage and exposure and position patient.

Performs specific procedures utilizing ionizing radiation and assists physicians with contrast media and/or tomographic examinations. The position requires evaluating patient history, coordinating with radiologists, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Two+ years’ experience in X-Ray (preferred).
• Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player.
• Ability to excel in a very fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
• Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
• Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
• Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
• Transfers images to other locations as needed.
• Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
• Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
• Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.
