Qualifications

• Graduate of approved school of radiography.
• Current New York State license in Radiographic Technology (R).
• ARRT (R) Certification.
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association).
• Temporary NYS license acceptable; permanent license must be obtained before temp license expires.

Responsibilities

• Inputs patient history and scans relevant medical documents into the practice management system.
• Ensures patient safety at all times.
• Maintains sterile environment and observes infection control precautions.
• Completes written documentation for patient care and billing requirements.
• Performs radiographs and bone density studies; explains procedures to patients and answers questions.
• Positions patient and adjusts fluoroscope equipment for optimal views.
• Maintains inventory and may assist with cost control.
