Job summary

Shields Health Care Group is seeking an X-Ray Technologist to provide professional, caring patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting across multiple sites in Brighton, Dartmouth, Brockton, and Weymouth. The role is per diem/float, requiring MA licensure, CPR certification, and at least 3 months of XR experience.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to assist mobility are essential. You will position patients, perform radiographic exams, document results, and forward films to Radiologists.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• MA State license is required.
• Minimum of 3 months xrays experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods.
• Ability to assist patients with mobility.
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift at least 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Position patients accurately and maintain comfort during exams.
• Perform xrays per center protocol and document data.
• Forward films/Data to Radiologist after exam.
• Assist clerical staff and maintain rooms/equipment.
• Per diem float across multiple sites: Brighton, Dartmouth, Brockton, Weymouth.

This is a per diem float opportunity across multiple sites - Brighton, MA, Dartmouth, MA, Weymouth, MA, and Brockton, MA.**Job Description:****What you will do*** Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times. These policies, procedures and protocols can be issued by Shields or the partnering hospital group for the location you are assigned to.* Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.* Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.* Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.* Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.* Perform xrays in accordance to center’s protocol.* Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.* Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.* Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.* Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.* Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.* Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.* Contrast administration**What you need:*** Must be certified in CPR* Must be MA State licensed* A minimum of 3 months of prior xray experience is required.* Excellent interpersonal skills are required.* Must be able to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time. Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties. Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
