Job summary

Patient First is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform quality x-ray imaging with correct positioning while following safety protocols. You will manage CDs, labeling, and documentation, and operate imaging and records systems to support patient care.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, assisting physicians, documenting logs, and staying compliant with OSHA guidelines. Strong communication and clerical skills, plus ARRt registration, are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Keyboarding experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • One year of clerical experience preferred
  • One year of clinical experience preferred
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Obtain quality x-rays with correct position and exposure
  • Implement safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure
  • Create and document x-ray CDs according to Patient First guidelines
  • Label images and sleeves correctly for copies
  • Understand x-ray and processing equipment for correct use
  • Use and understand the bell system
  • File and maintain all x-ray paperwork
  • Ensure patient safety when using wheelchairs, stools, and equipment
  • Understand and use Daily Log, X-Ray Listing, Copy Listing, and X-Ray Status Screen
  • Understand and use the automated medical records system
  • Clean work area and perform OSHA-compliant biological cleanup
  • Receive, move, and restock ordered supplies
  • Adhere to Patient First policies and procedures
  • Address physician and nurse requests promptly
  • Complete tasks on x-ray and treatment area checklists
  • Attend training classes and staff meetings
  • Be available as needed for patient care and center operations
  • Operate and maintain medical and office equipment as trained

Responsibilities


  • Obtaining quality x-rays using correct position and radiation exposure

  • Implementing safety procedures for patients, self, and staff to avoid unnecessary exposure to radiation

  • Creating and documenting x-ray CD copies correctly according to Patient First guidelines

  • Labeling images and sleeves correctly when making these copies

  • Understanding the x-ray and processing equipment so that it will be used correctly

  • Using and understanding the bell system

  • Filing and maintaining all x-ray paperwork

  • Ensuring the safety of patients when using wheelchairs, stools, and other equipment

  • Understanding and using the following: Daily Log, X-Ray Listing, Copy Listing, and X-Ray Status Screen

  • Understanding and using the automated medical records system

  • Cleaning work area, biological cleanup in accordance with OSHA guidelines and other maintenance assignments as directed

  • Receiving, moving, and restocking ordered supplies

  • Adhering to established Patient First policies and procedures

  • Addressing physician and nurse requests with respect and in a timely manner

  • Completing the tasks listed on the checklists for the x-ray area and treatment area

  • Attending training classes and staff meetings as scheduled

  • Being available as needed, breaks and mealtimes may be interrupted at any time for patient care and to maintain center operations

  • Responsible for the operating, using and maintaining medical and office equipment as trained


Minimum Education and Professional Requirements


  • Employee must be at least 18 years of age

  • High school graduate or equivalent

  • Keyboarding experience required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • One year of clerical experience preferred

  • One year of clinical experience preferred

  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
