Job summary

OrthoAtlanta, Locust Grove, GA, seeks an X-ray Technician to join our orthopedic imaging team. You’ll operate X-ray equipment, position patients, and help ensure accurate, high-quality diagnostic images for clinical care.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and complete an accredited Radiologic Technology program; ARRT certification is preferred or eligible. 1+ year of X-ray experience and strong communication skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and position patients for musculoskeletal imaging.
• Operate X-ray equipment and produce diagnostic digital images.
• Follow safety protocols and immobilization techniques.
• Perform routine checks on equipment and quality control.
• Record procedures and imaging results in EMR.
• Restock supplies as needed and support clinic operations.
• Work both independently and as part of a clinical team.

What You’ll Do

• Explain procedures clearly, address concerns, and ensure patients are positioned correctly for musculoskeletal imaging
• Operate X-ray equipment safely and efficiently to produce diagnostic digital images of bones, joints, and soft tissues
• Apply proper immobilization techniques and follow established safety protocols at all times
• Perform routine checks on X-ray equipment and adhere to quality control standards
• Monitor and restock X-ray supplies as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations
• Record procedures and imaging results accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical record system
• Pays close attention to detail and values accuracy in diagnostic imaging
• Communicates clearly and compassionately with patients and healthcare providers
• Thrives in a busy clinical setting and can manage multiple imaging requests efficiently
• Works independently while also collaborating with a broader clinical team

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (preferred) or eligible to obtain ARRT certification
• 1+ year of experience as an X-Ray Technician (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
