Company Overview

American Family Care (AFC) is one of the largest primary and urgent care companies in the U.S., providing services seven days a week on a walk-in basis. Our centers focus on treating acute illnesses and injuries, workers' compensation, and occupational medicine. Each location has an onsite lab and in-house x-ray capability.

AFC is the parent company of AFC Franchising, LLC (AFCF). This position works directly with a franchised location. Responsibilities and benefits may vary between franchises.

Job Summary

Perform radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing injuries and diseases. Assist with administrative and clinical duties, such as patient registration and medical assisting.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and explain procedures compassionately
  • Position patients appropriately for imaging
  • Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques
  • Process and review images for quality and proper identification
  • Utilize digital and non-digital imaging equipment following policies
  • Assist providers with prescribed treatments as needed
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
  • Complete records, logs, and reports
  • Serve as Medical Receptionist or Medical Assistant if needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent, or 6 months to 1-year related experience
  • ARRT-registered or eligible preferred
  • Licensed per state regulation

Compensation: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
