Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. is seeking an Operating Room Rad Tech to join the North Central Imaging team in Dallas, TX. The role involves assisting radiologists during procedures and performing emergent X-rays for ED and inpatient patients.

Applicants should have a radiologic technology degree, ARRT registration, BLS, and 3+ years hospital experience preferred. A Texas license is required and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • AART registered in Radiology.
  • Minimum hospital experience preferred (3 years).
  • Knowledge of local, state, and Joint Commission regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Set up sterile trays and assist radiologists during procedures (myelogram, arthrogram, aspiration, steroid injections).
  • Perform emergent and routine X-rays for ED, in-patient, and walk-in patients.
  • Move flexibly between exams and areas and manage time effectively while communicating professionally.

We are conveniently Located at Walnut Hill & 75 in the prestigious NorthPark area Specialties include: Orthopedics, Spine, General Surgery, Pain Management, Urology, GI/Endoscopy, Plastic, Podiatry and Bariatric surgeries. Managed by United Surgical Partners International Joint Commission Accredited.
We are currently looking for an Operating Room Rad Tech to join our Imaging team.
Job Summary:
The OR X-Ray Radiology Technologist will be responsible for setting up sterile trays and assisting the radiologists during the following procedures: myelogram, arthrogram, aspiration and steroid injection exams. The technologist will also be responsible for emergent X-rays from the ED and the In-Patient areas and any walk in, routine X-rays ordered. The North Central Imaging department is a fast paced area and the technologist must be flexible to move between multiple exams, areas and be able to manage his/her time effective and communicate well while maintaining a positive attitude.
Required Skills:

  • Must possess strong patient satisfaction skill set
  • Must possess independent decision making skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple patients
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients and their family
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional way
  • Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
  • AART Registered in Radiology
  • Experience with the following equipment is desired: C-arm (large and mini), O-arm, Portable Digital Equipment.
  • BLS current
  • Must have a current Texas state license to Texas Medical Board
  • 3 years of hospital experience preferred
  • Knowledgeable of local, state, federal and Joint Commission Regulations
