Job summary

OrthoAtlanta in Georgia is hiring an X-Ray Technologist to join a leading orthopedic and sports medicine practice. This on-site, full-time hourly role supports diagnostic imaging and patient care in a busy clinic.

You will explain procedures, position patients, operate radiography equipment safely, and maintain quality control while collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team. A strong service mindset and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification, or eligible to obtain certification.
• 1+ year X-ray technician experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a clinical team.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures clearly, address concerns, and ensure correct patient positioning.
• Operate X-ray equipment safely to produce diagnostic digital images.
• Apply immobilization techniques and follow safety protocols at all times.
• Perform routine checks on X-ray equipment and adhere to QC standards.
• Monitor and restock X-ray supplies to ensure smooth operations.
• Record procedures and imaging results in the electronic medical record.
• Maintain attention to detail and accuracy in diagnostic imaging.
• Communicate clearly with patients and healthcare providers.
• Thrive in a busy clinical setting and manage multiple imaging requests.
• Work independently while collaborating with the broader clinical team.

What You'll Do:

As an X-Ray Technologist at OrthoAtlanta, you’ll:

• Operate X-ray equipment safely and efficiently to produce diagnostic digital images of bones, joints, and soft tissues
• Apply proper immobilization techniques and follow established safety protocols at all times
• Perform routine checks on X-ray equipment and adhere to quality control standards
• Monitor and restock X-ray supplies as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations
• Record procedures and imaging results accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical record system
• Pays close attention to detail and values accuracy in diagnostic imaging
• Communicates clearly and compassionately with patients and healthcare providers
• Thrives in a busy clinical setting and can manage multiple imaging requests efficiently
• Works independently while also collaborating with a broader clinical team

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (preferred not required) or eligible to obtain ARRT certification
• 1+ year of experience as an X-Ray Technician (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
• A compassionate, patient‑centered approach to care
