Job summary

CareNow urgent care, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an X-Ray Technician to support radiology procedures and in-house lab tasks.

You will maintain records, assist with front desk duties as needed, and collaborate with clinic staff to ensure smooth operations and high patient satisfaction. A Texas NCT license and BLS/Breath Alcohol and Drug Screening certifications are required or obtainable within set timeframes.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting is beneficial
• NCT - A Non-Certified Technician license in Texas
• The ability to obtain a BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion
• NCT License issued by the Board of Medical Examiners/Texas Department of State Health Services is required

Responsibilities

• Perform timely and quality radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
• Perform quality control checks/audits on radiologic equipment.
• Perform drug screens, urinalysis and other in-house lab tests including processing specimens for reference laboratories.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and x-rays sent out to other labs.
• Works closely with the Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator and all clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
• Ensure occupational client’s preference card is followed and occupational procedures are adhered to.
• Performs routine office functions including copying, faxing, scanning, mailing, sorting and filing of patient and clinic materials as appropriate.
• Is cross trained for Front Desk duties to include greeting patients, checking patients in/out on computer, End of Day close out procedures, patient interactions, lobby checks and records release
• May be required to work alternate shifts and may be required to float to other clinic locations. Assist with general patient care when needed.
