Job summary

HCA Healthcare's CareNow urgent care is seeking an X-ray Technician - Medical Assistant to join our team. You will perform imaging services, collect specimens, and support patient care in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

You will have opportunities to work with EHRs, perform basic procedures, and contribute to patient flow, documentation and compliance. CareNow offers a comprehensive benefits package and a sign-on bonus opportunity.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Medical Assistants or approved program (BOTP) is required.
• GMRT/LMRT or NCT license required in state of residency.
• Current AAMA certification preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening and Federal Drug Screening certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services per provider orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR.
• May apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and chart auditing.
• Maintain records and logs for in-house and sent-out lab work.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
