Job summary

CareNow urgent care in Texas seeks a NCT PRN X-Ray Technician to perform radiology procedures and support in-house lab tests. The role involves maintaining records, collaborating with staff, and fulfilling front desk cross-training duties as needed.

Qualifications include 1+ year clinical experience, NCT license in Texas, and required certifications (BLS, Breath Alcohol, Drug Screening). PRN shifts and potential site float are possible.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting is beneficial.
• NCT license required in Texas (Non-Certified Technician).
• BLS certification required within 30 days of start.
• Federal Breath Alcohol Certification required within 3 months.
• Federal Drug Screening Certification required within 3 months.
• NCT license issued by the Board of Medical Examiners/DSHS.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiology procedures for evaluation and treatment by attending physician.
• Perform quality control checks on radiologic equipment.
• Conduct in-house lab tests including drug screens and urinalysis.
• Maintain records of activities including in-house lab work and x-rays sent to labs.
• Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure smooth operations and high patient satisfaction.
• Follow occupational client’s preference cards and procedures.
• Handle routine office duties (copying, faxing, scanning, filing).
• Cross-train for Front Desk duties (check-in/out, end-of-day close).
• May work alternate shifts or float to other locations; assist with patient care.
