The X Ray Limited Scope & Medical Support Specialist performs routine x-ray, medical, and testing procedures under direct supervision of the treating clinician. Supports in other areas of the facility as needed, including registration and referral management. This position also performs routine X-ray examinations following Concentra policies, practices, procedures, and applicable regulations. It requires efficient, accurate patient care and ensuring a positive patient experience with respectful colleagues.

Responsibilities

X-ray Technician Duties

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, escort to dressing and x-ray rooms, provide instructions, assist with positioning, and ensure safety and comfort during exams.
• Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images, adjust controls for exposure, and follow safety protocols.
• Maintain equipment, report malfunctions, and ensure workflow and documentation are properly completed.

Medical Support Specialist Duties

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for examinations, perform ancillary testing, assist providers, and perform routine medical procedures.
• Manage supplies, maintain equipment, and ensure proper documentation and safety compliance.
• Assist with patient flow, communicate wait times, and perform clerical duties including front office tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• State-approved Limited Scope Technician certification and license, if applicable.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Minimum six months of medical assistant and X-ray experience.
• Knowledge of occupational medicine requirements preferred.

Skills and Competencies

• Ability to handle sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA.
