The X Ray Limited Scope & Medical Support Specialist performs routine x-ray, medical, and testing procedures under direct supervision of the treating clinician. They also support in other areas of the facility, including registration and referral management. This role requires efficient and accurate delivery of patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring quality clinical care and an excellent patient experience.

Responsibilities

X-ray Technician Duties

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, assist with positioning, and ensure patient safety and comfort during x-ray exams.
• Operate radiologic equipment, adjust controls, and take x-rays following established requirements and regulations.
• Use radiation safety measures and protection devices.
• Maintain and report on radiologic equipment, ensuring proper workflow and documentation.

Medical Support Specialist Duties

• Perform drug and alcohol testing, prepare patients for examinations, and assist during procedures.
• Perform routine medical procedures, assist clinicians, and dispense medications as ordered.
• Maintain supplies, clean and operate medical devices, and ensure proper documentation.
• Assist with patient flow, provide patient information, and perform clerical duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of state-approved Limited Scope Technician program and licensure, if applicable.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• At least six months of medical assistant and x-ray experience.
• Knowledge of occupational medicine requirements is preferred.
