Job summary

AdventHealth in Ocala, Florida is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to prepare patients for procedures and operate x-ray equipment in a safe, compliant manner. You will follow physician requests, protect patients and staff, and maintain accurate records and films for timely review by physicians.

The role requires an Associate degree in radiologic technology (preferred) and active BLS/CPR and BMO certifications, with a willingness to float to other FHMG practices when needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in radiological technology preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• BMO certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and protects patient, staff and self from radiation hazards.
• Operates radiographic equipment and follows procedures for patient care and safety.
• Selects proper ionizing factors for radiologic diagnosis.
• Positions patients and takes x-rays as requested by physician.
• Maintains x-ray film files and ensures timely availability of reports.
