Job summary

HCA Healthcare's CareNow urgent care in Garland, TX is seeking an X-Ray Technician to perform radiology procedures and support in-house lab tests and drug screens. You will work with clinic staff to ensure high quality care, accurate records, and smooth operations in a patient-centered environment.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Radiological Sciences program, Texas LMRT license, and BLS certification within 30 days. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school of Radiological Sciences.
• LMRT license in Texas (Limited Medical Radiology Technician).
• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is beneficial.
• Ability to obtain a BLS certification within 30 days of start.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform timely and quality radiology procedures for evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
• Perform quality control checks/audits on radiologic equipment.
• Process drug screens, urinalysis and other in-house lab tests including samples for reference labs.
• Maintain records and logs of in-house lab work, drug screens, and x-rays sent to labs.
• Coordinate with clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
• Follow occupational procedures and client preference cards.
• May perform front desk duties and assist with patient check-in/out and records release.
• May work alternate shifts or float to other clinic locations.
• Assist with general patient care as needed.

Job Summary And Qualifications

In this role, you will:

• As an X-Ray Technician you will perform timely and quality radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
• Perform quality control checks/audits on radiologic equipment.
• Perform drug screens, urinalysis and other in-house lab tests including processing specimens for reference laboratories.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and x-rays sent out to other labs.
• Works closely with the Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator and all clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
• Ensure occupational client’s preference card is followed and occupational procedures are adhered to.
• Is cross trained for front desk duties to include greeting patients, checking patients in/out on computer, End of Day close out procedures, patient interactions, lobby checks and records release.
• You may be required to work alternate shifts and may be required to float to other clinic locations. Works with all clinic staff to ensure efforts are coordinated and that patients receive high quality care and services.
• Assist with general patient care when needed.

You should have:

• Graduated from an accredited school of Radiological Sciences
• LMRT - Limited Medical Radiology Technician license in Texas
• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is beneficial
• Ability to obtain a BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start
• Demonstrated excellence in customer service and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion
