Job summary

CareNow, part of HCA Healthcare, is hiring a X-ray Technician – Medical Assistant in Fort Worth, TX. You will perform imaging services, collect history, and document in the EHR, while supporting patient check-in/out and maintaining accurate records.

The role requires a high school diploma, MA program completion, and relevant licenses; BLS within 30 days, and screening certifications within 3 months are required. Eligible for benefits and growth within a large network.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP) is required.
• GMRT/LMRT/NCT license is required in state of residency.
• AAMA certification preferred.
• BLS Certification required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Breath Alcohol and Drug Screening Certification within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect labs, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services per orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and auditing charts.
• Maintain records for in-house lab work and external labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a X-ray Tech, you will:

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKG’s, and administering IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and update patient charts accordingly.
• Collect patient history and document EHR appropriately.
• You may apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out when needed including auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

You should have:

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• General Medical Radiology Technician (GMRT), Limited Medical Radiology Technician (LMRT), or Non-Registered Technician (NCT) license is required in state of residency.
• Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.
