Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking an X-Ray Technician to perform radiological exams and operate portable digital X-ray equipment inside a secure facility. You will securely transmit images to radiologists and help maintain records, while upholding strict safety and confidentiality standards.

The ideal candidate has an accredited associate degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT certification, a valid driver's license, and is at least 18 years old. This role requires on-site work within Minnesota facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Must have completed an accredited associate degree program.
• Must have passed the national ARRT certification exam.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Minimum age: at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site radiological examinations as required by proper authority.

The incumbent should be able to perform all of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements.

• Perform on-site radiological and electrocardiogram examinations as required by the proper authority.


• Operate and maintain portable digital X-ray equipment to safely perform high-quality diagnostic imaging within a secure correctional environment.


• Instantly verify image quality and securely transmit digital diagnostic images electronically to radiologists for interpretation, eliminating the need for physical film.


• Transport and maneuver mobile imaging units to various housing units and medical clinics within the facility while strictly adhering to institutional security and safety protocols".


• Keep equipment and work area clean; utilize appropriate sanitation methods.


• Arrange for prompt interpretation of x-rays as required or required in an emergency or other applicable situations.


• Maintain absolute security and confidentiality of all medical records.


• Accurately and maintain daily x-ray logs, x-ray identification cards of standard narrative, statistical, summary and/or operational records, reports, and logs and properly process all reports and documents in a timely manner.
