Job summary

CareNow at Avondale - Haslet MSO, part of HCA Healthcare, is hiring a X-ray Tech and Medical Assistant to join our urgent care team. The role includes vital signs, imaging, EHR documentation, splinting, and patient flow support across a busy clinic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP) required.
• GMRT, LMRT, or NCT license required in state of residency.
• Current AAMA certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening certification within 3 months.
• Must obtain Federal Drug Screening certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.
• 1+ year clinical experience helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services per provider orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings, and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts.
• Maintain records/logs for in-house and sent-out lab work and drug screens.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

Skills

1+ year clinical experience

EMR/EHR experience

AAMA certification preferred

BLS certification within 30 days
