Job summary

CareNow, part of HCA Healthcare, is hiring an X-Ray Tech - Medical Assistant PRN in Parker, CO. You will deliver imaging services and patient care in a fast-paced urgent care setting, handling vital signs, injections, and charting in the EHR.

You should have MA training, a relevant license, and BLS certification; PRN schedule and benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting.
• EHR experience is beneficial.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP) is required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or Limited Scope Operator (LSO/LMRT) license in state of residency is required.
• Current AAMA certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services per provider orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR appropriately.
• Apply splints, dressings, and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts.
• Maintain records and logs for radiology, in-house labs, and external tests.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Limited Scope Operator/MA, you will:

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKG’s, and administering IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and updates patient charts accordingly.
• Collect patient history and documenting EHR appropriately.
• You may apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out when needed including auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including radiology, in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

You should have:

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or Limited Scope Operator (LSO / LMRT), license is required in state of residency.
• Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.
