Job summary

CareNow urgent care is seeking an X-Ray Tech/Medical Assistant PRN to deliver patient-centered care, perform imaging per orders, and support front desk tasks as needed.

The role requires a Limited Scope Operator/MA license in the resident state, with BLS certification due within 30 days, and potential certification in breath alcohol and drug screening within 3 months. Join a team within HCA Healthcare network.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or Limited Scope Operator (LSO / LMRT) license is required in state of residency.
• Current AAMA certification is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening and Federal Drug Screening Certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR appropriately.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs for radiology, in-house lab work, drug screens, and external lab results.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

As a Limited Scope Operator/MA, you will:
