Job summary

CareNow, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an X-Ray Tech/Medical Assistant for PRN coverage. You will provide vital clinical skills, perform imaging per orders, and document in the EHR while supporting a patient-centered care team.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of clinical experience, an accredited MA program, and appropriate licensure (RT/LMRT) with BLS credentials. The role emphasizes teamwork and quality patient care across CareNow clinics.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP) is required.
• Licensure as RT or LMRT in state of residency is required.
• Current certification from AAMA is preferred.
• Current BLS certification required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR appropriately.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts as required.
• Maintain records and logs on radiology, in-house lab work, drug screens and external lab results.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

As a Limited Scope Operator/MA, you will:

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKG’s, and administering IM injections.

You should have:

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.

• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or Limited Scope Operator (LSO / LMRT), license is required in state of residency.
• Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.
