Job summary

CareNow, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks an X-Ray Tech - Medical Assistant to support patient care in a busy clinic. You will perform vital signs, basic imaging, EKGs, injections, and chart updates while maintaining accurate records and patient communication.

The role requires relevant licensing, BLS within 30 days, and an approved MA or RT/LMRT program. Benefits and growth opportunities are available through HCA Healthcare family.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistants or approved program (BOTP) is required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or Limited Scope Operator (LSO/LMRT) license is required in state of residency.
• Current AAMA certification is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKGs, and administering IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and update patient charts accordingly.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR appropriately.
• You may apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out when needed including auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs on radiology, in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

This position is incentive eligible. Hourly Wage Estimate: $26.69 - $38.72 / hour.

You should have:
