Job summary

HCA Healthcare's CareNow location is seeking a X-ray Tech/Medical Assistant (PRN) to support patient care with vital signs, EKGs, injections, and imaging services. You will document in the EHR, assist with check-in/out, and maintain radiology and lab records as part of a collaborative clinic team.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of clinical experience, an RT/LMRT license in the state, and a BLS certificate. Some positions require MA program graduation and AAMA preferred credentials.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in patient care.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• Graduate of an accredited MA program.
• licensure: RT or LMRT required in state of residency.
• Current BLS certification within 30 days of start.
• Federal Breath Alcohol and Drug Screening certs within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services and update patient charts.
• Record patient history and document in the EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings, and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and chart audits.
• Maintain radiology and lab activity records and logs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking an X-Ray Tech/Medical Assistant for our practice who provides expertise and to be a champion of patient care. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

As a Limited Scope Operator/MA, you will:

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKG’s, and administering IM injections.

• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and updates patient charts accordingly.

• Collect patient history and documenting EHR appropriately.

• You may apply splints, dressings and bandages.

• Assist with check-in/check-out when needed including auditing charts.

• Maintain records and logs on activities including radiology, in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.

• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

You should have:

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.

• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.

• Radiological Technologist (RT) or Limited Scope Operator (LSO / LMRT), license is required in state of residency.

• Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.

• Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.

• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.
