Job summary

HCA Healthcare’s CareNow in Leander, TX is seeking a Limited Medical Radiology Technologist (LMRT) like you who provides clinical expertise and champions patient care as a X-Ray Tech - Medical Assistant with CareNow.

The role requires an LMRT license, 1+ year of clinical experience, and the ability to obtain BLS within 30 days of start, plus Federal Breath Alcohol and Drug Screening certifications within 3 months.

Qualifications

• High School graduate as required by the state.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Services required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is preferred.
• Limited Medical Radiology Technologist (LMRT) license in state of residency.
• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is beneficial.
• Ability to obtain a BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion

Responsibilities

• Performs various clinical duties in support of providers and Nursing staff including but limited to taking vital signs, patient history, lab specimens and EKGs.
• May apply splints, dressings and bandages as directed. Prepares, maintains and cleans exam rooms.
• Will check patients in and out of the computer and may assist the Patient Representative in the performance of front desk duties.
• Will assist with front desk duties to include greeting patients, checking patients in/out of computer, End of Day close out procedures, patient interactions, lobby checks and records release.
• Maintains records and logs on activities including inhouse lab work, drug screens and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Performs equipment and supply audits as scheduled.
• Works closely with the Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator and all clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
