Job summary

CareNow urgent care seeks an X-ray tech/medical assistant to provide patient care and imaging as directed, with duties including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and chart updates. The role supports clinical teams across radiology, in-house labs, and EHR-based records.

Requirements include at least 1 year of clinical experience, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and RT/LMRT licensure in the state. BLS certification is required within 30 days, with additional screening certifications within 3

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or LMRT license is required in state of residence.
• Current certification from the AAMA is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Breath Alcohol and Drug Screening Certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient history and document in the EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings, and bandages when needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts.

• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking an X-ray Tech/Medical Assistant like you who provides expertise and to be a champion of patient care. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

As a Technician, you will:

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKG's, and administering IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider's orders and updates patient charts accordingly.
• Collect patient history and documenting EHR appropriately.
• You may apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out when needed including auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including radiology, in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

You should have:

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or Limited Practical Technologist (LPT / LMRT), license is required in state of residence.
• Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.
