Qualifications

• Must have AMA approved Radiologic Technology education and training.
• JRCERT-accredited program completion is required.
• Current ARRT-R Radiographer certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert diagnostic radiological imaging and patient care with quality and safety.
• Prepare room, equipment, contrast media, and supplies for procedures.
• Perform routine radiographic services accurately according to protocols.
• Learn and perform new procedures and technologies as offered by the department.
• Set exposure parameters to optimize image quality while protecting patients.
• Interact with patients to address concerns and obtain informed consent.
• Educate patients about procedures and radiology processes.
• Ensure protection for patients and staff, using shielding and proper collimation.
• Recognize conditions requiring immediate action and assist life support if needed.
• Follow policies, regulations (OSHA, CMS, JCAHO), and infection control guidelines.
• Maintain radiology EHRs in HIPAA-compliant manner.
• Complete required continuing education and annual competency assessments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
