Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years on-the-job welding experience.
• Ability to pass X-Ray and weld multiple processes.
• MIG root with down-hill progression / Flux core fill and cap with up-hill progression (6" diameter).
• TIG out with all passes uphill progression.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts and apply basic algebra/geometry.

Responsibilities

• Assemble pipe components by tacking before welding.
• Weld joints and purge pipe before welding.
• Verify lengths, materials, and fit-up per drawings.
• Inspect welds and correct as needed.
• Keep work area clean and follow safety procedures.
• Record filler rod heat numbers and identify welds.
