Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years on-the-job welding experience.
• Ability to pass X-Ray and weld multiple processes.
• MIG root with down-hill progression/Flux core fill and cap with up-hill progression (6” diameter).
• TIG out with all passes being up-hill progression.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures; write routine reports and speak before groups.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, proportions, percent, area, circumference, and volume; apply basic algebra and geometry.

Responsabilités

• Assemble pipe components by tacking them in place prior to welding.
• Confirm squareness and configuration of joints fit-up.
• Ensure pipe joints are aligned properly and spools built per isometric drawings.
• Verify correct lengths, materials, and grades before tacking; retrieve required materials.
• Lift pipe with crane to fit-up bench; weld joints and grind out temporary tacks.
• Record filler rod heat numbers and etch welds; inspect welds and correct as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized work area; follow safety procedures and escalate unsafe conditions.
