Job summary

RK Industries is seeking a Production Welder to perform high-quality welding and fabrication work aligned with CAD/FAB and Energy procedures. This role involves reading blueprints, setting up weldments, and ensuring products meet customer standards.

You will operate welding equipment, inspect results, and collaborate with a skilled team to meet production goals while adhering to safety protocols and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical education or certification is a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience in welding and metal processing (FCAW, MIG).
• 6G welding certification required.
• Proficient in basic welding tasks and quality standards.
• Perform X-Ray Quality Welds on process piping, hydronics, and pressure vessels.
• Knowledge of pipe trade tools (i.e. Two-Hole Pins, Center-finders, Pipe wraps)

Responsibilities

• Operate welding and fabrication machinery, including calipers, weld gauges, tape measures, and other tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, weld symbols, and BOMs.
• Follow P&IDS for assembly tracks on projects.
• Create weld set-ups and fixturing to meet geometrical requirements.
• Inspect products for compliance and document results; maintain equipment.
• Collaborate with team to meet production schedules and goals.
• Operate lift trucks and overhead cranes safely.
• Adhere to safety protocols and shop regulations.
• Support Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
