Job summary

SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory seeks an Electronics/Mechanical Systems Engineer to design, assemble, test, and maintain diverse electronic and electro-mechanical systems at SSRL. You will create cabling, assemble fixtures, and document procedures to support a multi-disciplinary team.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent experience, strong documentation skills, and proficiency with ECAD and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in electrical/electronics engineering or three years of related experience.
• Proven experience in design and development of prototypes, equipment, or systems.
• Ability to document procedures and maintain design/engineering records.

Responsibilities

• Design, assemble, fabricate, test, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic and electro-mechanical systems.
• Fabricate and assemble mechanical systems and enclosures based on CAD/models or sketches.
• Create and maintain schematics and wiring diagrams using ECAD software.
