Job summary

Community Care is seeking a Medical Imaging Technologist (X-ray) to join our Radiology team in Latham, NY. You will operate X-ray equipment, prepare patients, and ensure safety and comfort during procedures in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires an associate degree, state licensure as a radiologic technologist, and ARRT certification or active pursuit. Weekend shifts are required, with a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year AMA-approved college or technical school.
• Valid state licensure as a radiologic technologist.
• Must have or work towards certification (ARRT).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Continuing education requirements to maintain ARRT certification.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Willingness to work at least one Saturday or weekend shift per month.

Responsibilities

• Operate X-ray equipment to capture diagnostic images for various body parts.
• Prepare patients, obtain histories, and explain procedures.
• Position patients for optimal imaging and ensure safety
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and minimize exposure.
• Adjust exposure parameters and image quality controls as needed.
• Monitor image quality and correct artifacts for diagnostic value.
• Document imaging procedures and incidents accurately.
• Collaborate with radiologists to review imaging requirements and provide additional imaging.
